This piece isn't to be mistook for flimsy; it's thick which means it can be layered over a long sleeved solid as outerwear or styled for hospitality and warmth as seen in the photo(s).

Remembering Ms. Billie Holiday:

A cultural icon and far from an ordinary woman. Born Eleanora Fagan on April 7, 1915, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, beset by trial and tribulation is to misunderstand her with a degree of perversity equal to her own.

Becoming a world phenomenon and one of the greatest jazz artists of all time, wearing gardenias in her hair and singing with her head tilted back, Billie's  debuted two of her most famous songs, "God Bless the Child" and "Strange Fruit" [ a powerful story about the lynching of African Americans in the South]. 

Most notably, a victim of Love and tragedy,  her autobiography, Lady Sings the Blues (1956) shines a light into the life this musical suffering lover.
